7-keto DHEA

In a study by Sharon Sageman and Richard P. Brown, five women (early childhood abuse victims with PTSD and other depressive disorders) and 25 elite soldiers with PTSD were given 7-keto DHEA, a natural metabolite (derived from DHEA, but without carcinogenic or hormonal effects) and successfully came away with good results...My psychiatrist asked me to do some research...It sounds basically like a hormone, though it is supposed to not be aromatized to testosterone or estrogen, but there have been complaints of irritability, facial hair, increased heartrate...It is still sold over the counter...and considered organic...It is really hard to find clinical studies on it though...
